There are many ways of approaching the task of photographing a wedding so I will share here what I believe is important and the values that guide my approach. Below is a short video showreel.
It is a privilege to be asked to photograph a wedding. After all, this should be one of the happiest days of their lives, not only for the happy couple but also for their family and friends. So I focus on trying to capture that - the JOY of the day.
I don't believe a wedding is a fashion shoot with a big white dress, or a fancy suit! It is about the happy couple, family, friends, kids, aunties, uncles - everyone. So, I won't ask for 2 hours to take the couple away from the party. I will make sure everyone is included in your record of the day, whilst ensuring that you have some stellar images that show you and your partner at your best.
You need to trust me and you can't do that if we haven't met. So, we will meet and discuss what you are looking for beforehand. We will talk about your venue and make sure we have a plan worked out and a contingency in case the weather does not behave as you would wish it to - this is the UK after all!
After the event, I will provide you with a high-res digital library of your images. I can produce a fantastic album if you want one, but if not that's fine. The final library is yours to do with as you will. This will generally be between 250-450 images. The exact number will depend on the size of your party and the coverage you have requested.
Feel free to contact me if you would like any further information or with any and all questions.
